So many locals insisted we go here. They felt the wonderful weather begged a visit. We weren’t totally sure what there was to do, but when we got here, we saw the charm.
It reminded me of a coastal town in California, like San Luis Obispo in the old days. Lots of cute shops, and novel places to eat. The beach is really close. Add in the old buildings Ireland always has to offer, and that is Westport.
I don’t know why I didn’t take pictures of the streets. I think we were focused on eating and going to the beach.
We drove over to Bertra Strand, where the boys played in the water and discovered shells.
I loved the view. We were right at the foot of Croagh Patrick, the tallest mountain in Ireland.
Another refreshing day in Ireland!
