The Great American Eclipse was a success! But not after a scare of clouds, forecasted to loom until after the eclipse was over. Luckily, they went away well before the eclipse and didn’t interfere with our view at all.
We experimented with the mirror and didn’t find any cool images with it, nor did the magnifying glass do anything to enhance our images.
Our boxes gave us the clearest, biggest images (they don’t photograph well, so I didn’t bother to post those images).
We had fun with pinholes.
The colander worked really well too.
Kids from the boys’ theatre camp came out to view the eclipse, and we carefully tried out their glasses. These will be fun when the kids are older and know how to use them carefully.
My favorite is always the speckled light through the trees!
I hope everyone had a wonderful time with The Great American Eclipse!
The trees looked really cool. I never would have thought about that. Did you get the picture I sent you with your name spelled out in crescents?
